What's Up Hi all. The AAAA reunion was a great occassion and many thanks to those who made the trip. Of note was Kevin Forster who travelled from the Alice to be there, complete with a 28th crab!
Proposed planning for our 40th is in discussion via email. It has been suggested to hold it in Albury in October 1012 so everyone can see the memorial and the museum display on appies.
Email me with your view so I can let everyone know. So far I have had only support for the concept.
Photos of the memorial are available from those who attended so if you do not know who to email, contact me or Rossy and we can get pics to you along with images of the pavers for our departed.
In the mean time if you are not a member of the Army Apprentice Association then can I suggest you visit their site and join. http://www.austarmyapprentice.org/index.htm
Our Website I will try to upgrade this website later this year and will talk to the Association on having a link to their merchandise site when it is up. Many at the reunion are interested in a shirt embrioded with the AAS badge. I have spoken to Rod (24th) and they will let us use their design. More on the shirts later.
Database I ahve the latest database and will update that today as well if all goes well. The most important thing is for us to keep contact details up to date and find 'lost souls'. if you know of any ex 28th and they are not on the contact list please contact them to see if we can put them on the database.
Lost Comrades At the reunion many thought it important to try and have a few 28 appies at the funeral of one of our comrades should they pass away. We usually get notice quickly of such events and if you can find the time, I am sure not only the family but your fellow classmates would appreciate your attendance.
Glenn
